I supported the death penalty until I learned that the justice system is flawed. That the justice system is flawed should come as no surprise. The process was created by and is controlled and operated by human beings who, by their very nature, are imperfect. To support the death penalty, I would need to see the system as virtually mistake proof. And I am afraid that standard may be impossible to meet.
