June 8, 2011 – Karen Clifton, Executive Director of Catholic Mobilizing Network, was awarded the 2011 Servitor Pacis Award by the Path to Peace Foundation, who represents the Vatican’s mission at the United Nations and beyond. The 19th Path to Peace Award was held at the New York Athletic Club in New York City on June 7, 2011. The Path to Peace Award was given to His Most Eminent Highness Fra Matthew Festing, Prince and Grand master of the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of Saint John of Jerusalem of Rhodes and of Malta. Receiving the Servitor Pacis Award alongside CMN’s Clifton were Sr. Eugenia Bonetti, MC, and Sr. Rachele Fassera, CMS.
It was an honor to be recognized by the prestigious Path to Peace Foundation. Their work spreads the truth of human dignity at the U.N. and throughout the world. CMN’s work was recognized for its dedication to the defense of human dignity. We are very grateful for the national and international recognition of the death penalty as an issue and the need for the sanctity of all life.
