Sister Helen Prejean Speaks about Dignity of Life and Proposition 34

October 22, 2012

Noted antideath penalty activist and author Sister Helen Prejean spoke at a recent liturgy at Holy Family Church in California. During the course of her reflection, Sister Helen noted the Catholic Church’s development of doctrine with respect to the death penalty, related stories of her own personal journey of conversion, and she invited the parishioners to consider support of Proposition 34 which would end the death penalty in that state if approved in the November 2012 elections.
