Texas has scheduled Robert Moreno Ramos' execution for November 14, 2018 for the 1992 murders of his wife and their two children. Take action to advocate for clemency for Mr. Ramos.
In 2005, the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights concluded that Mr. Ramos Moreno was not provided adequate legal defense from his court-appointed trial lawyer, which was a violation of his fundamental right to due process and a fair trial. In addition, the Mexican government maintains that Mr. Ramos Moreno’s consular notification and visitation rights under Article 36 of the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations were not respected
Also concerning about this case is that fact that a mental health expert who examined him concluded that Robert Moreno Ramos suffers from organic brain damage and has lived with Bipolar Mood Disorder for most of his life.
