Mary Beaudoin has been part of the Marianist Social Justice Collaborative (MSJC) Death Penalty Abolition and Restorative Justice (DP-RJ) issue team since 2013, and has served as team chair for the past three years. MSJC promotes education and action for social justice within the Marianist Family (Society of Mary priests and brothers, Marianist sisters, and lay Marianists). The DP-RJ team works to awaken hearts and minds to recognize that the death penalty is inconsistent with the gospel and to promote restorative justice in Marianist institutions and in the criminal justice system. Mary has worked in parish and campus ministry positions for many years and is currently Director of Religious Education at St. Raphael Catholic Church. A native of North Dakota, Ms. Beaudoin holds advanced degrees in Music and Liturgy and in Religion and Culture. She lives in Silver Spring, Maryland with her husband, John.
