Bridget Bearss is a Religious of the Sacred Heart.  She is the Executive Director of Stuart Center, a work of the Society of the Sacred Heart, United States –Canada Province.  The Stuart Center engages in social justice, education, empowerment and partnership, making visible the mission of the Society of the Sacred Heart.  In addition to education, advocacy and programs focusing on the issues of Anti-Racism, Human Trafficking/Migration and Climate Crisis, the Stuart Center provides website design, graphic design and offers gathering space for partner organizations.

Sr. Bearss did her undergraduate work at Maryville University in St. Louis in Education, followed by a Masters in Educational Policy and Leadership from Washington University in St. Louis, Grounded in her experience as an educator and with a deep commitment to Restorative Justice, she is engaged with her Sisters in the Society of the Sacred Heart as they continue to work to acknowledge their history with enslavement, to build relationships with the descendants of their enslaved persons and to work with them toward racial equity and the end to systemic racism.
