Mary Trentman is an educator at St. Mary Immaculate School in Mount Vernon, Illinois. She teaches middle school Social Studies and Religion. She has been teaching for eight years at St. Mary’s. She was a stay at home mom for ten years and then went to work with her brother, landscaping for twelve years.  In 2013, she attended the first Restorative Discipline Summer Institute offered at St. Louis University to learn about Virtue-Based Restorative Discipline (VBRD), a Catholic response to bullying behaviors. Since that time, she has led a transformation team at her school, and currently serves as a lead trainer for Restoration Matters, the parent nonprofit for VBRD.
