Rev. Larry Dowling, M.Div., D.Min. is the pastor of St. Agatha Parish in Chicago’s North Lawndale community. He is a dean. He also serves as Board President for the ACTA Foundation and as Moderator for the Priests for Justice for Immigrants and as a board member of the Augustus Tolton Pastoral Ministry Program at Catholic Theological Union. He is actively involved in local community organizing efforts, criminal justice reform, restorative justice projects and anti-violence issues. He served on the Anti-Racism Implementation Team for the Archdiocese. He is a RJ Circle Keeper and served on the Steering Committee for the 1st Restorative Justice Community Court in Chicago. He is a published writer, most recently contributing to LTP’s “The Liturgy and Catholic Social Teaching” (2019). He is a speaker on justice issues and on healing the wounds of child and youth sexual abuse. He is an avid reader, backpacker, hiker and bicyclist.
