Suzanne Neuhaus is an Adjunct Professor for Santa Clara University’s Graduate Program in Pastoral Ministries concentrating in Restorative Justice; she actively serves on the Restorative Justice Committee for the California Catholic Conference of Bishops; and she is the board vice-chair of Healing Hearts Restoring Hope for those affected by homicide. From 1988 to 2015, Suzanne worked for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), primarily as a Parole Agent and Victims Services Specialist. Now retired, she continues to volunteer as a Victim Offender Dialogue (VOD) Facilitator for CDCR, bringing persons harmed by violence together with the individual responsible in the spirit of healing. Her career as a peace officer inspired her to take a stand in support of a more responsible and balanced and restorative approach to justice. She has dedicated her professional life and volunteer efforts to addressing unresolved harm and creating opportunities for healing.
