Ray is the Director of Prison Contemplative Fellowship (PCF), a nonprofit organization founded to bring Contemplative Prayer into prisons and jails. This prayer practice, a Christian form of silent meditation, sometimes called Centering Prayer, is not simply another form of prayer, or a way to ease anxiety, but as importantly this practice opens one to a spirituality of Restorative Justice as it transforms the heart and soul of the practitioner.

PCF provides prisoners, volunteers, and Chaplains with various materials (without cost) to introduce and facilitate Contemplative Prayer, the chief of which are Finding God Within: Contemplative Prayer for Prisoners (Lantern Press), Going Inside: Teaching Contemplative Prayer in Prisons, and Toxic Shame and Contemplative Prayer: From Hiding to Healing.
