As a criminal justice system and a society we must counteract the violence of a retributive legal system with practices that seek to repair harm and repair communities using theories of nonviolence and restorative justice.

One way that we do this is by prioritizing the needs of those who are harmed by crime and violence. In this workshop, presenters will discuss guiding principles for and examples of survivor-centered restorative practices for crime victims and survivors.
