Executed

Billy Ray Irick is scheduled to be executed on August 9, 2018 in Tennessee. Take action to oppose this execution.

This will be the state's first execution since 2009. Advocates have called for appeals due to the potential for severe pain and suffering using a new cocktail of lethal injection drugs. Catholic Mobilizing Network calls on all people of goodwill to oppose this action. Advocate for clemency for Billy Ray Irick can send a letter to the Tennessee Board of Parole, which makes recommendations for clemency to Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam.  Personalize this one-click letter to advocate for him.  You are welcome and encouraged to customize the letter.
