Deepening Circle: Restorative Parish

October 16, 2024 @ 7:30 pm 9:00 pm EDT

Join us to explore how restorative practices can be implemented into the life of a Catholic parish!

Bringing restorative practices into parishes can be a way to respond to the invitation of the Catholic Synod on Synodality to:

“inspire people to dream about the Church we are called to be, … to stimulate trust, to bind up wounds, to weave new and deeper relationships, … and restore strength to our hands for our common mission.” (Synod Vademecum)

Together, we will hear from parish ministers who introduced restorative practices such as circle process into the life of their parish and ministries. We will then gather in small group circles to share experiences, insights and hopes.

Resource: Podcast Episode “Fr. Larry Dowling — Bringing Restorative Practices to Parish Life“, Encounter With Dignity. How implementing restorative practices in the everyday life of a westside Chicago parish community has supported all parishioners, from children and parents, to returning citizens, and the parish council.

This virtual event is free. It will take place via Zoom and will not be recorded.
