The Teach-In is a place for members of the Ignatian family (Jesuit institutions and larger church) to be empowered, re-energized, inspired, challenged, and supported by a community that sees faith and justice integrally linked. Now in its 25th year, the Teach-In has a rich history rooted in honoring the Jesuits and their companions who were martyred in El Salvador in 1989.
The conference will take place in Washington DC, October 22–23 with an optional "advocacy day" on October 24.

CMN's Breakout Sessions
If you are attending the conference, come see us at one of our breakout sessions:
October 22 | 7:55 p.m.
Innocent on Death Row
Nearly 200 people have been exonerated from death row in the U.S. since 1976. Come hear Joe D’Ambrosio’s powerful story of freedom. Learn how Joe, in collaboration with his close friend Fr. Neil Kookoothe—a Catholic priest and lawyer—was finally set free after twenty-two years of incarceration and death sentence for a crime he did not commit. Learn how you can get involved in advocating for an end to the death penalty in the U.S with Catholic Mobilizing Network, the national Catholic organization working to end the death penalty and promote restorative justice.
October 23 | 11:00 a.m.
Restorative Justice and Charting Paths of Renewed Encounter
Join Catholic Mobilizing Network for a dialogue with Heather Thompson, a Catholic woman who embarked upon a restorative justice dialogue with the man who killed her brother and now advocates for restorative practices. By taking part in this conversation, participants will deepen their knowledge of restorative justice, envision possibilities for restorative justice, and receive resources for continued learning
