This year is looking a little different for abolition efforts in Washington state. Some shuffling of seats in the Senate seems to suggest defeating the death penalty is strong. This month Washington state legislators will debate the fate of its death penalty- a discriminatory, immoral, and costly, system of justice.

Join the Washington Coaltion to Abolish the Death Penalty and the ACLU of Washington for a lobby day Thursday, January 25th in Olympia, Washington to tell your legislators to end the death penalty in Washington!

The day will include breakfast, legislative advocacy training, and an opportunity to meet with your legislators. We will be joined by a death row exoneree who will speak to us in the morning session and lobby alongside us this day.

This free event will take place 8:30 am - 3:30 pm at Washington State Capitol - Pritchard Building (library basement) 415 Sid Snyder Avenue SW Olympia, WA 98504.

Visit www.aclu-wa.org.to register by January 18th. Registrations require your full address so meetings can be scheduled for you with your legislators.
