Every April, Catholic Mobilizing Network joins the nation in recognizing National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (NCVRW) and urging victim-centered responses to harm, crime, and violence.

This annual commemoration, observed this year from April 24–30, 2022, lifts up the accomplishments of the victims’ rights movement, which is built upon the courageous advocacy of individual victims of crime, their families, and those who assist them. Organized by the Office for Victims of Crime, the theme of NCVRW 2022 is Rights, Access, Equity, for All Victims.

Over its decade-long history, Catholic Mobilizing Network has collaborated closely with victims of crime and their families, in both its restorative justice programming and anti-death penalty advocacy. By centering victims’ needs and voices, we believe it is possible to interrupt cycles of violence and build more humanizing systems of justice for all.
