Please join Missourians for Alternatives to the Death Penalty for a rally on the steps of the MO Supreme Court Building to support Marcellus Williams, who has been on death row for 20 years despite no physical evidence linking him to the crime for which he was convicted.

On August 22nd, Marcellus Williams came within four hours of being executed by lethal injection for a crime he did not commit.
Missouri Governor Eric Greitens issued a stay and appointed a board of inquiry to review the case, including DNA evidence that was never heard in court but matched another, unknown male. The panel of judges will meet on June 5th and is expected to make a decision soon.
Marcellus is still on Missouri’s death row, and in the past 8 months, the governor-appointed board of retired judges has met twice, reviewing thousands of pages of transcripts, evidence, and appeals.
Now we have learned the board will meet again to review Marcellus’ case on Tuesday, June 5.
Marcellus needs you there to stand up for justice.
Last August, 274,000 people signed MADP's Change.org petition compelling Missouri Governor Eric Greitens to issue a stay of execution for Marcellus shortly after signatures were delivered to his office. Community leaders and organizations including Amnesty International, Catholic Mobilizing Network, and the ACLU all joined MADP’s call here to save Marcellus’ life, and so many of you made calls to the governor and rallied your friends that afternoon.
Stand up for Marcellus Williams once again and help save an innocent man's life.
