About the Event

Catholic Mobilizing Network is coming to Barry University in Miami, FL to host a special event, “Voices from the Death Penalty Abolition Movement.” This event is part of our Next Gen for Justice Catholic College Speaking Tour, which has visited colleges and universities in active death penalty states across the country. While this is a particular moment to engage the next generation of anti-death penalty advocates, this event is free and open to the public.

You’ll hear from an incredible and impactful lineup of speakers.

Featured Speakers:

  • Maria DeLiberato, Executive Director of Floridians for Alternatives to the Death Penalty will share about legal advocacy.
  • Herman Lindsey, Executive Director of Witness to Innocence will share his personal testimony as a death row exoneree from Florida.
  • SueZann Bosler, Journey of Hope, will share her personal experience as a survivor and family member of a murder victim.
  • Armando Garcia, Community Organizer for Floridians for Alternatives to the Death Penalty will share about the role of community organizing in the abolition movement.
