Catholic Mobilizing Network to Host Powerful Conversation on Restorative Justice

Catholic Mobilizing Network (CMN) eagerly announces its upcoming public event:

Hope Over Death: A Catholic Family’s Journey
of Forgiveness and Restorative Justice

Monday, November 5, 2018
6:00 to 8:00 PM
Saint John Paul II National Shrine
 Brookland, Washington, DC

This special event will offer an intimate conversation with Kate and Deacon Andy Grosmaire, influential Catholic voices within the realm of restorative justice.

The Grosmaires will share how their Catholic faith called them to forgiveness and led them to restorative justice after their daughter Ann was tragically shot and killed by her fiancé, Conor, in 2010. Their inspiring personal story challenges each of us to imagine and create transformative approaches to criminal justice that promote human dignity.

Catholic Mobilizing Network is honored to host the couple, who are coming from the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee, as part of its #HopeOverDeath Campaign which seeks to elevate faithful stories of human dignity in the face of harm. The Grosmaires’ testimony affirms that every person deserves the opportunity for redemption and healing, no matter the harm they have suffered or caused.

This event is free and open to the public. For more information or to register, please visit catholicsmobilizing.org/restoration.
