About the Event
Join Catholic Mobilizing Network for a Virtual Prayer Vigil on Friday, Mar. 5 at 2 p.m. EST. We are gathering to lament Texas' execution of Ramiro Gonzales, scheduled for Apr. 20, 2021.**
CMN's First Friday Vigils offer a virtual space to pray as a faith community in response to the injustice of executions. They include time for guided prayers, petitions, Scripture reflections, and contemplative silence, and feature the voices of Catholic bishops, Church leaders, and allies across the abolition movement.
**For scheduling reasons, CMN's March 2021 vigil will include prayers for those scheduled for execution in the month of April. Stay tuned for information regarding a special, pre-recorded First Friday Prayer Vigil for Good Friday on Apr. 2, 2021.
How to Attend
Virtual prayer vigils are held live via Zoom conference and livestreamed on CMN's Facebook page. The day of the vigil, all registrants will receive an email with a link and additional instructions on how to join the event. Please sign up below to attend.
