Ruth Cunnings is a Novice with the Society of the Sacred Heart. Currently, she is serving as a Fellow with Catholic Mobilizing Network, assisting with a variety of projects. Ruth has professional and volunteer experience in Catholic parishes and schools, which includes community service and social justice engagement. She holds MAs in History and Theology from the University of Notre Dame. Ruth’s brother, Peter, was a victim of violent crime, and this experience strengthened her commitment to end the death penalty and work towards a justice system truly focused on healing and reduction of crime, rather than retribution.
