The Missouri Supreme Court has scheduled the execution of Russell Bucklew for Tuesday, March 20th, 2018. Bucklew was previously scheduled to be executed in 2014, but was given a stay by the United States Supreme Court due to a rare health condition that would make execution extremely painful. His medical diagnosis, cavernous hemangioma, causes weakened and malformed blood vessels. During execution, tumors in Russell's nose and throat could rupture and bleed.
The U.S. Supreme Court already found his medical condition reason to stay his execution in 2014. Today, Russell continues to suffer from this same condition. Carrying out this death sentence would be inhumane and cruel. Take action and sign this petition and ask Governor Greitens to stay Russell's execution.
