True justice is only possible when the needs of all impacted persons are included in the process of confronting and responding to the impact of crime and violence.

Young people and their families have particular needs that often go unmet by the criminal legal system. Alternative approaches can help to meet these needs and keep them out of prison entirely.

In this workshop, presenters will share from their experiences with justice-impacted youth inside and outside of prison. They will also share how community advocacy is an essential component of criminal justice diversion programs.
