Joe Cotton

Joe Cotton is currently the Executive Director of the Office of the Vicar General at the Archdiocese of Seattle. He oversees all the pastoral ministries of the chancery including the archdiocesan Criminal Justice Ministry, which provides chaplaincy programs in various jails and prisons throughout Western Washington. The ministry additionally engages in parish-based prisoner re-entry and offers restorative justice peacemaking circles. Joe has been a commissioned lay ecclesial minister for over 25 years, serving as a parish youth minister, international missioner, juvenile detention chaplain, and pastoral care and outreach director. Joe holds a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Studies from Seattle University.
