End the death penalty.
Advance justice.
Begin healing.
Stay Informed and Make a Difference.
Every person deserves to be treated with dignity –
no exceptions.
Our Catholic faith affirms the sacredness of all life, regardless of the harm someone has endured or inflicted. The death penalty violates this divine vision of justice.
We can choose life over death, and healing over revenge.
Our revenge-driven responses to crime and violence aren’t working. Find out how CMN is advancing justice solutions that promote Jesus’ reconciling way.
2025 National Catholic Conference on Restorative Justice
September 25-27 | Atlanta, GA
On September 25 – September 27, 2025 CMN hosted the National Catholic Conference on Restorative Justice in collaboration with The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Atlanta and The Aquinas Center of Theology, Candler School of Theology at Emory University.
The conference brought together Catholic ministry leaders, academic and legal professionals, restorative justice practitioners, and people directly impacted by harm, crime, and incarceration to build capacity within communities and the Church to advance healing approaches to harm, crime, and injustice.

December 14 is the Jubilee of Prisoners
The Holy See has designated a number of Jubilee Days throughout 2025 to recognize and celebrate different groups of people and various ministries in the Church. The Jubilee of Prisoners will be held Dec. 14, 2025.
In collaboration with the Catholic Prison Ministries Coalition, Catholic Mobilizing Network assisted in preparing this resource for the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops to support your celebration of the Jubilee of Prisoners.
How We Work
CMN leverages a three-tiered strategy to empower Catholics and people of goodwill to end the death penalty, advance justice solutions aligned with Catholic values, and promote healing approaches like restorative justice.
Education
We create innovative resources and learning opportunities that shed light on the Church’s teachings and expose the flaws of the criminal legal system.
Advocacy
We empower people of faith to engage in informed advocacy against the death penalty and champion justice solutions that center healing and human dignity.
Prayer
We ground our work in faith, bringing Catholics together for prayer and spiritual formation that uplifts God’s desire for justice and healing.
