Rev. Dexter Kearny
Rev. Dexter Kearny is a Presbyterian pastor and Parish Mobilizer with One Parish One Prisoner, where he supports congregations in Washington, Illinois, and Texas as they prepare to welcome individuals returning home from incarceration. His work focuses on equipping faith communities to engage in the deeply interconnected efforts of relationship building, restorative justice, and reentry support. With a background in pastoral and grassroots organizing, Rev. Kearny has helped congregations take bold steps toward radical solidarity—mobilizing them to build affordable housing, advocate for the end of harmful detention contracts, and to divest from harmful systems.
He holds a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary and brings a theological lens shaped by a commitment to dismantling oppressive systems and embodying the radical hospitality of the Gospel. His approach to ministry is rooted in the belief that faith communities have a vital role to play in creating structures of deep belonging and healing.
