STOP the Execution of Tremane Wood
Please contact Governor Kevin Stitt and the Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board urging them to stop the execution of Tremane Wood.
Oklahoma plans to execute Tremane Wood on November 13, 2025 for the 2001 murder of Ronnie Wipf.
We oppose this execution as we do every execution. Capital punishment is an act of state sanctioned violence that violates the sacred dignity of every human life. In the words of Saint Pope John Paul II, “The dignity of human life must never be taken away, even in the case of someone who has done great evil.”
Tremane is facing execution for his role in a murder that was ultimately committed by someone else. That individual confessed and received a life sentence. Tremane is the only co-defendant who received a death sentence. He was represented by a lawyer who was battling a drug addiction and has admitted to not doing the necessary work to give the jury the information they needed to support a life sentence.
The family members of the victim in this case have advocated against Tremane’s execution.
Please contact Gov. Stitt and the Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board today and urge them to grant clemency to Tremane Wood and stop his execution.
