Deacon W. James Booth

W. James Booth is a Deacon in the Diocese of Nashville. For the past 10 years, he has served as Director of Prison Ministry for the Diocese. This year, he retired from the Director’s position in order to spend more time serving the imprisoned in Middle Tennessee. James visits and holds weekly services in most of the State Prisons in this area, including Death Row. James spent his career as a Professor in the Political Science Department at Vanderbilt University. He is married to Dr. L. Jane Easdown, MD and they have one daughter, Madeleine, who recently completed her PhD in Linguistics at UCLA.
