[WEBINAR] Drawing Mercy: A Conversation with Sr. Helen Prejean
December 3 @ 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm EST

Join Sr. Helen Prejean and Catholic Mobilizing Network (CMN) for a powerful conversation on Dead Man Walking — now a graphic novel — and the urgent fight for mercy and justice in today’s world. Hear Sr. Helen’s insights on the death penalty, the power of storytelling, and why these issues matter now more than ever.
Plus: Attendees will receive exclusive access to CMN’s Dead Man Walking: Graphic Edition Catholic Discussion Guide! You will want to use this reading companion to enhance your own experience of the novel, or to open up the conversation with your ministry, community, school, or parish.

This event is offered through CMN’s Jubilee Advent series. This week, we celebrate the first week of Advent. The week of HOPE. Join us for this conversation as we explore Sr. Helen’s tireless witness as a light of hope in the work of death penalty abolition.

About Dead Man Walking
Since its landmark 1993 release, Sr. Helen Prejean’s Dead Man Walking has been adapted as an Academy Award-winning film, an opera, a stage play, and now a graphic novel. Dead Man Walking tells the true story of Sr. Helen Prejean, whose work ministering to Patrick Sonnier and Robert Lee Willie as they were scheduled to be executed, animated her to become the Catholic Church’s most outspoken advocate for death penalty abolition. This new Graphic Edition engages readers of all ages to examine what true justice and mercy look like, and the need to abolish the death penalty in the United States.
