Fatima Torres, M.S.

Fatima Torres started as a summer intern in 2020 and now serves as the Database & Development Associate as well as the Conversation in Communion Program Coordinator.

At CMN, Fatima has held a variety of roles, including supporting CMN’s first National Catholic Ministry Leaders Lenten Experience trip to Montgomery and Selma,  and helping coordinate the Justice Reimagined Awards & Celebration and the National Catholic Conference on Restorative Justice.

She earned a Master of Science in Justice, Law, and Criminology from American University in 2024. Her experience includes volunteering in local jails and working in local government on community-based programs. Fatima is deeply committed to advancing criminal legal reform through both her professional work and academic pursuits. Guided by the St. Ignatius of Loyola’s charism and shaped by her Jesuit education, she approaches work with a strong commitment to reflection, justice, and service. Her research has focused on the relationship between employment and recidivism. She is fluent in Spanish and brings a bilingual perspective to her work.
