Stephan Rochefort, MDiv.
Stephan serves as the Young Adult Engagement Associate at CMN, joining the team in August of 2025. In this role he aims to animate young Catholics to embrace the Church’s teaching on the dignity of all human life and the need to abolish the death penalty. Previously Stephan served as the house manager for Franciscan Mission Service, providing accompaniment and support to young people engaged in direct service with the poor in the Washington, D.C. area. As an educator, Stephan has served in several Catholic high schools across the country as a campus minister and theology teacher, instilling in his students the Gospel values of peace and justice.
Stephan holds a Master of Divinity degree from The Catholic University of America and was a Carmelite friar for six years. He continues to be inspired by the Order’s tradition of prayer and prophetic witness and the Second Vatican Council’s call to apply the Gospel message to the signs of the times.
