During Respect Life Month this year, CMN will be presenting in parishes and at different events throughout Houston, Texas with speakers from our partners at Journey of Hope...From Violence to Healing, and the Texas Coalition Against the Death Penalty. In addition, there will also be a special event on October 14th at Strake Jesuit College Preparatory, the Texas premiere of "The Gathering." In collaboration with Witness to Innocence, Journey of Hope, Texas Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty, and Texas Defender Service, the premiere of a film will include a panel and reception with presentations from murder victims’ family member and death row exonerees.
These events will discuss how the death penalty is a pro-life issue that Catholics are called to speak out against. All events are free of charge and open to all, more information about these events is forthcoming. See the rough schedule below for more information and a list of the events planned thus far.
