World Day Against the Death Penalty on October 10th

As we approach October, where Catholics remember our call to be consistently pro-life, CMN also marks the 15th World Day Against the Death Penalty on October 10th. Working in collaboration with the World Collation Against the Death Penalty, CMN will lift up the important call to end the use of the death penalty in our country. This year's theme is the death penalty and poverty, which holds a special meaning for CMN. As Catholics, we are called to have a preferential option for the poor and vulnerable, and marginalized people living in our midst are often targeted by the arbitrary and unfair nature of the death penalty. Learn more about how poverty can impact the death penalty!

For more information on how you can advocate to end the death penalty this October, check out CMN's Respect Life toolkit. For more information on World Day Against the Death Penalty, check out the World Coalition's web page.
