Lenten Circle — An Experience of Conversations in Communion
March 11 @ 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm EDT
How do we welcome the Jubilee Year?

This Lent, join CMN for a time of renewal and reflection as we gather to welcome the Year of Jubilee.
Every 25 years, the Catholic Church celebrates a special Year of Jubilee, a time for liberation, conversion, and reconciliation; a time to re-establish a proper relationship with God and one another. In 2025, Pope Francis invites Catholics to be “Pilgrims of Hope” and become “tangible signs of hope” in the world.
Together, we will:
- PRAYERFULLY REFLECT on ways to live this Lenten season in the light of Jubilee
- EXPERIENCE the restorative practice of circle process firsthand
- CONTEMPLATE opportunities for engaging hope in our lives and communities
What is Conversations in Communion?
Conversations in Communion: Parish Dialogues for Connection and Understanding is a formation program that equips Catholics to introduce the restorative practice of circle process in their parishes and ministries. Together, the facilitator guide and virtual training build capacity for deep listening, authentic encounters, and fuller participation in Catholic parish and ministry life.
What will the session be like?
We will open our time in prayer, followed by a time of welcome and presentation of the theme. Then, participants will move into small group circle process for listening and sharing led by CMN’s Conversations in Communion facilitators.
What is circle process?
As a core restorative practice, circle process is informed by Native and Indigenous peacemaking traditions. In circle process, participants sit in a circle (physical or virtual) and pass a talking piece to signal the speaking order. Facilitators guide the dialogue using a series of prompts or questions to which every person has the opportunity to contribute a response. The structure of circle process allows for rich encounter in which participants share openly and listen deeply.
Who is this event for?
All are welcome. No prior knowledge of the topic or experience with circle process is required. If you are curious about CMN’s Conversations in Communion program, this is a great way to learn more.
